Any single transaction at a merchant that totals $500 or more will have the 3.49% APR rate. The transaction could be one large item (ex: TV) or it could be many items that total the transaction amount (ex: Walmart trip with groceries, clothes, and toys). As long as the total transaction totals that amount, Visa Rewards Card holders qualify for the rate.
